Reviews, ideas and resources for Open Source Beehive sensors and electronics.
The OSB project is working to integrate electronic sensors into our hives to log useful hive data through the Smart Citizen platform. This category is for posts related to sensors, micro-controllers and electronics relevant to OSB designs. All ideas welcome - we are particularly interested to hear from electrical engineers (what sensors are the most reliable?) biologists and entomologists (what is the most helpful data to collect on beehives?).

Oh, catagory definitions are tags, not unique forums...
I'll move my comment out to the general forum.

Hi
I'm a electrical engineer working in the mobile business.
I think the sensor setup has to be somewhat standarized to keep data consistent. If anyone uses different sensors the results may differ a lot.
For the Logic i would suggest to bring it down to some interface, wired or wireless, that allows the end user to connect the sensors to existing solutions like Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone or Arduino.
Just what came into my mind this morning when I saw you awesome campaign. I love it, when environment protection and modern technologies paired with open source meet.
Cu
David
