Both hives function very similarly - they are both top bar style, meaning the bees build all their own comb. The major difference I would say is that the Warré is modular, and you can add stacking sections to expand it. It also has viewing ports that you can cover with a clear acrylic or similar to view into the hive. The Warré has many more parts and is more complicated to assemble than the CTB.

I suppose the top bar is a little more stable (it stands laterally whereas the Warré stacks vertically). But as I say they function quite similarly.
